Marie is a much sought-after communications advisor and works with clients all over the country.
A highly-experienced practitioner with more than 30 years’ journalism, communications and engagement experience, she operates at the highest level of public relations practice and has been recognised with a number of state and national awards.
Prior to founding Mills Wilson in 1991 Marie was a well-regarded journalist working across print, radio and television. Her intelligence, compassion and knack for storytelling shine through in everything she touches – including the most challenging of scenarios.
With a skill for unravelling complex issues, Marie is the cool, analytical head you need in a crisis. She is also a highly regarded trainer and facilitator and has coached, advised and written speeches for a range of high profile individuals including Premiers, Ministers and CEOs of ASX-listed companies.
When she’s not busy wresting with communications challenges and inspiring the Mills Wilson team, you’ll often find her hosting dinner parties (she’s a whiz in the kitchen) and playing peacekeeper to her two rescue cats. She's also completing a Graduate Diploma in Dispute Resolution with the University of Melbourne's School of Law - it might not help with the felines but should be good for our issues and crisis management clients!
Marie is a Fellow of the Public Relations Institute of Australia and Board member of Workpower Incorporated. She is also an Audience Development Board Sub-Committee member at the Art Gallery of Western Australia and a member of the Curtin University School of Marketing Advisory Board.
